Bartending Pricing and info

Ther are several different types of Bar Services that you can choose from.  The First is the most simple and that is hiring a TAPS Certified Bartender to come and tend bar and serve the alcohol that you purchased and supplied.

Although the flash and flare of having a trained and skilled Bartender to serve your guests can be fun and memorable, there is one very important reason to have a TAPS Bartender running your event.

Safety and Liability

If you are not familiar with the legalities and the liability that you hold as the Event Holder/Planner,  it is important for you to become familiar.

Ex: If someone that attended your event leaves and happens to get hurt or hurts someone else, unfortunately you are held to a certain level of liability even though you were not the one serving the drinks.

Although having a TAPS certified Bartender does not remove that liability from you, TAPS Bartenders are trained to look for signs of intoxication as well as head off underage drinking. Hiring a TAPS Bartender isn't always for Flare.

The standard rate for one of our TAPS Bartenders is minimum of $300.00.  This usually involves 6 hours or less.  There is one hour for setup, 4 hours for serving your event and one hour for cleaning up.  

Offsite means at a place other than the Main Event Club Room.  This price is based on our TAPS Bartender serving your alcohol that you have provided and delivered to the event.  This rate is a minimum of $350.00 and includes 1.5 hours of set up, 4 hours of serving and 1.5 hours of clean up the bar area.  If outside of Anchorage, additional travel expenses may apply.

If you intend to sell alcohol or are charging a cover charge where drinks are included or intend to invite the general public, you will be required to obtain a special permit from the City of Anchorage as well as the State of Alaska.  In total it costs $125.00 for both.  Familiarize yourself with the laws as there are other reasons that may require a permit.

You must fill out the above application and then send it to the municipality of Anchorage Police Department for approval first.  Once you have received their approval then it needs to be sent over to the State of Alaska for approval
